This interior renovation at Apex Mountain reimagines an outdated ski condo into a highly functional retreat with a distinct sense of personality, tailored specifically to its owners. The design transforms the space into a modern mountain home—one that balances bold expression with comfort, offering a welcoming place to unwind after long days on the slopes.

The project focused on a contemporary application of art and design, using colour as a primary driver to introduce character and cohesion throughout the interior. A full kitchen redesign, upgraded lighting strategy, a new fireplace surround, and integrated custom millwork work together to elevate both functionality and atmosphere. Each intervention was carefully considered to improve flow, usability, and the overall experience of the space.

The colour palette was developed directly from locally sourced artwork provided by the owners, allowing the interiors to feel deeply personal while remaining connected to the regional landscape and creative culture. Furniture selections draw from timeless design precedents, chosen for their longevity, comfort, and ability to complement the boldness of the architectural moves without overpowering them.

The result is a refined yet relaxed alpine retreat—a space that feels like a true home away from home, where the owners can gather, recharge, and settle into the rhythm of mountain life.
